Hosted by the Australian Infant Child Adolescent and Family Mental Health Association (AICAFMHA), the 6th National Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) Conference will be held in Adelaide, South Australia during October 2009. This will be a major occasion on the Australian mental health calendar, with the conference theme, "Together" encouraging us all to look at the ways in which we work with and support children and families where mental health is an issue.
The Inaugural World COPMI Conference will be held concurrently with the 6th National CAMH Conference.
These joint events constitute a unique opportunity for professionals and consumers from the many fields associated with mental health to share ideas, develop networks and participate in knowledge enhancement. Delegates can choose to attend either or both events, and are invited to also participate in the workshops on offer.
AICAFMHA is enthusiastic about developing a strong and inclusive scientific program. Representation from youth, consumers and carers will be a key feature. In addition, a number of prominent Australian speakers have been invited to participate and negotiations are underway for international keynotes.
Contributions are invited for abstracts addressing one or more of the forum themes. You may choose to submit your abstract for either an oral presentation in a formal concurrent session or a poster presentation. If you wish to submit an abstract for consideration by the CAMH Conference Program Committee, you must intend to register for the Conference.
Posters will be on display at the forum and authors will be allocated a time to discuss their work with delegates. Please note that abstracts should have an emphasis on ideas for action and tools for implementation, and must include a description of two learning outcomes for delegates.
