The 6th National Child & Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) Conference will be held concurrently with the Inaugural World Children of Parents with a Mental Illness (COPMI) Conference in October 2009.
I am delighted to extend this invitation to you to attend these events in Adelaide, South Australia.
Hosted by the Australian Infant Child Adolescent and Family Mental Health Association (AICAFMHA), this will be a major occasion on the Australian mental health calendar, with the conference theme, “Together” encouraging us all to look at the ways in which we work with and support children and families where mental health is an issue.
The Inaugural World COPMI Conference and the 6th National CAMH Conference will be held from 26-28 October, 2009. Combined workshops for both events will be held on 28 October, 2009.
These events constitute a unique opportunity for professionals and consumers from the many fields associated with mental health to share ideas, develop networks and participate in knowledge enhancement. Delegates can choose to attend a conference and/or participate in the additional workshops on offer.
AICAFMHA is enthusiastic about developing strong and inclusive programs for both the COPMI and CAMH conferences. Representation from youth, consumers and carers will be a feature on both programs. In addition, a number of prominent Australian speakers have been invited to participate and negotiations are underway for international keynotes.
AICAFMHA is keen to ensure a broad range of projects, services, research and programs are showcased at these exciting events. Further information is available from this website where you can also pre-register to receive information as it becomes available.
I look forward to welcoming you to Adelaide in October!
