Learning outcomes:

• Discuss the recent changes to the Arthritis Management Guidelines and how they impact primary care and ensure patient safety
• Outline the on-going care general practitioners can provide post-surgical intervention for pelvic hip trauma
• Describe the referral pathways for general practitioners for both public and private in relation to low grade hip trauma and on-going arthritis of the hip
