Join this workshop to build confidence in identifying possible indicators of family and domestic violence in children and learn practical approaches to early support and referral.

This workshop will support GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals to recognise when a child’s developmental or behavioural concerns may be associated with family and domestic violence. Participants will gain knowledge and confidence in responding appropriately, initiating supportive conversations, and accessing relevant local referral pathways and support services for children and families.

Learning outcomes:

• Identify developmental and behavioural signs that may indicate exposure to family, domestic and sexual violence (FDSV)
• Apply trauma-informed, family-centred approaches and work collaboratively across services
• Navigate barriers and use clear, local referral pathways to connect children and families with appropriate supports
• Implement practical strategies into routine primary care practice
