This webinar funded by Country SA PHN, will guide GPs and general practice teams through the fundamentals of catch-up vaccinations, vaccine eligibility, vaccine doses and intervals between doses.

Catch-up vaccinations aim to provide optimal protection against disease as quickly as possible for a person who is unvaccinated or partially vaccinated. Catch-up vaccination may be for a single vaccine, or a full series which can be complex. While there are tools to assist providers with planning a catch-up schedule, understanding the fundamentals of catch-up vaccinations is essential.

Led by Angela Newbound, Immunisation Coordinator who has has been delivering immunisation education and clinical support to General Practice and other health professionals for over 23 years.

At the end of the webinar, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss the importance of planning a catch-up schedule.
  • Identify which individuals are eligible for certain vaccines.
  • Plan a catch-up for an un-vaccinated 12-month-old child.
  • Develop a catch-up plan for a partially vaccinated 4-year-old child

This education activity has been made possible by funding from Country SA PHN.

    Pending RACGP and ACRRM accreditation.
