General Practitioners, Medical officers, Midwives, Nurses and Paramedics working in Emergency Care settings are invited to attend this interactive full day workshop delivered through large group sessions and skills station training.

This workshop will focus on cardiac emergency patient scenarios and examine acute management in regional and rural settings.

Learning outcomes:

  • Assess and recognise clinical presentations of STEMI and NSTEMI for a patient presenting with chest pain
  • Manage a patient with a STEMI as per current best practice guidelines, in simulated team-based scenarios
  • Assess and appropriately manage, with pharmacological or electrical therapies, a patient who presents with rhythm disturbances
