This workshop will focus on cardiac emergency patient scenarios and examine acute management in regional and rural settings.

Learning outcomes:

  • Assess and recognise clinical presentations of STEMI and NSTEMI for a patient presenting with chest pain.
  • Manage a patient with a STEMI as per current best practice guidelines, in simulated team-based scenarios.
  • Assess and appropriately manage, with pharmacological or electrical therapies, a patient who presents with rhythm disturbances.
