General Practitioners, Medical officers, Midwives, Nurses and Paramedics working in Emergency Care settings are invited to attend this interactive full day workshop delivered through large group sessions, and skills station training.

This workshop will focus on agitated patient scenarios and examine acute assessment and management in regional and rural settings

Learning outcomes:

  • Assess and manage agitated patients by identifying underlying causes, using de-escalation techniques, and applying safe restraint methods when necessary
  • Apply legal powers appropriately to protect patients and staff and prepare mental health patients for transport
  • Apply knowledge and skills to manage agitated patients effectively in various clinical situations
