General Practitioners, Medical Officers, Nurses and Paramedics working in Emergency Care settings are invited to attend this workshop that will focus on neonatal emergency patient scenarios and examine acute management in regional and rural settings. 

Learning outcomes: 

• Assess a newborn infant transition to extrauterine life and determine need for resuscitation
• Demonstrate understanding of and be able to provide neonatal resuscitation (including mask ventilation and external chest compressions)
• Assess need for and initiate advanced resuscitation interventions for neonates
