General Practitioners, Medical officers, Midwives, Nurses and Paramedics working in Emergency Care settings are invited to attend this interactive full day workshop delivered through large group sessions, skills station training and simulation training.

This workshop will focus on paediatric emergency patient scenarios and examine acute management in regional and rural settings.

Learning outcomes:

  • Assess and appropriately manage paediatric respiratory dysfunction
  • Review management of paediatric status epilepticus
  • Assess and appropriately manage paediatric circulatory dysfunction
  • Review principles of crisis communication, teamwork, and leadership in paediatric emergencies
