This webinar will clarify what is meant by the term shock, elaborate on what causes it, run though how to confirm its presence and extent, and finally give tips on how to manage it.

  • Identify and assess presentations of medical shock in Emergency Medicine
  • Differentiate between the different types of medical shock
  • Identify the different causes of medical shock
  • Determine the correct treatment of medical shock and when it is required

This webinar is aimed at all General Practitioners, Medical Professionals, Nursing staff, Allied Health Professional and Paramedics working within an Emergency Care Setting in a rural or regional hospital in South Australia. It will be multi-disciplinary teaching but will be primarily aimed at doctors and nurses who work in Emergency Departments.

Pending approval the webinar will be accredited and participants eligible for 2 RACGP Category 2 CPD Points and/or 1 ACRRM CPD point
