Join us for an interactive workshop designed to help GPs and healthcare professionals navigate the complexities of family dynamics and information sharing and understand their impact on therapy outcomes across different age groups in the Australian healthcare setting.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  • Understand Family Dynamics: GPs and mental health clinicians will gain insights into the complexities of family dynamics and their influence on therapy outcomes across various age groups in the Australian healthcare setting.
  • Explore Legal Considerations: Attendees will learn about the legal aspects of information sharing and consent in Australia, equipping them to navigate challenges in involving families in therapy.
  • Integrate Multidisciplinary Perspectives: GPs and mental health clinicians will be able to articulate and apply insights from CAMHS, adult mental health, and aged care services to enhance their practice in family-inclusive care.
  • Apply Practical Strategies: Participants will acquire practical strategies for effectively engaging families in therapy, identifying potential pitfalls, and optimising treatment outcomes in their practice.
