The Doctors in Training Program is designed for junior doctors and trainees, PGY1 to PGY3.

Accurate interpretation of XRs is an essential skill in the acutely ill patient in order to institute timely and effective treatment. We will explore imaging in common emergency presentations.

This is designed as a workshop style program, organised around case studies to maximise audience participation, and enhance understanding of the subject. While the focus is on plain imaging, there will also be some coverage on CT imaging. You will have the opportunity to test your XR interpretation skills and learn the common pitfalls in emergency XR interpretation.

The facilitator: Dr Herman Chua, Emergency Medicine Consultant, LMHS

Herman is a Senior Specialist in Emergency Medicine with over 20 years of clinical experience. He has been extensively involved in the education of junior doctors and trainees, having conducted workshops at local and national conferences and holding positions such as Director of Training and Examiner for ACEM.
