Medical officers, General Practitioners, Nurses, Paramedics and all Medical Professionals working in a South Australian rural or regional emergency care setting are invited to attend this interactive, clinical case scenario-based workshop.

This workshop will explore the risk assessment of acute chest pain, emergency management, diagnosis, and identification of red flags in patients presenting with syncope. Additionally, it will cover ECG findings indicative of cardiac syncope commonly encountered in clinical practice.

Learning outcomes:

  • Differentiate the clinical findings and role of risk stratification in the assessment of acute chest pain
  • Prioritise the immediate management of the adult with Acute Coronary Syndrome
  • Summarise the assessment, differential diagnosis and red flags in the patient presenting with Syncope
  • Discriminate ECG findings indicative of the risk for Cardiac syncope

Accreditation: This workshop is pending accreditation with RACGP and ACRRM. Participants will receive a statement of attendance for 3.5 hours of CPD (3 hours Reviewing Performance, 0.5 hours Educational Activities).

The workshop is FREE to attend and catering will be provided.
